Start 9 Node is not connecting

Hey everyone,

After a few days of my Start 9 Node being up and running (along with my bitaxe miner), it’s now stuck trying to connect - Stuck on yellow trying to connect. I tried a ‘hard reset’ of the browser but no luck. I tried to restart the node by going to the system and clicking restart. I got an error message that says: Error, Gateway timeout. I unplugged the node and restarted it but that didn’t work. I restarted my router. Still nothing.

I’m not sure what to try next. Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Bob

Do you get the same issue if you try to connect to the server from another device (another computer or phone, for example)? If the issue is consistent across devices, then try going to “start.local” to see if the server is in recovery mode.

The best way to see what is going wrong though is probably to hook up a keyboard, mouse, and monitor to the server temporarily if that is an option.

start.local says that the ‘site cannot be reached’ and that ‘the local IP address cannot be found’.

I was able to connect from my phone.

I tried deleting my cashe but now when I click on the link for my server, it says that the site cannon be reached.

So I’m able to connect through my phone (android) but not my computer (mac).

That is a new scenario I haven’t seen yet. I’ve see similar behavior before with Windows (due to mDNS/ bonjour), but not with Mac. Maybe try rebooting your Mac (if you haven’t tried that already). Which browser are you using on the Mac? Also, are you using a VPN?

Well, rebooting my computer worked! For some reason, I hadn’t thought of doing that - it tends to solve a lot of issues. Thanks!
