Is there an easy way to install an upgrade to Sparrow on Ubuntu (not using terminal)? Linux suggests a version 2.2.2 (listed as a different author) which would be an easier way but it installs directly and doesn’t seem to provide the files for the verification process (is it safe?).
Official Sparrow releases should be signed with Craig Raw’s PGP key. I would recommend only downloading from the sparrowwallet.com downloads page to be safe, and verifying the download.
As far as upgrading, according the their website:
“Sparrow stores all wallets and settings separately from the installation in the Sparrow home folder. It is safe to uninstall Sparrow, or to upgrade the installation without risking your data. Make sure to close the application first.”
