Hi Paul…I have my start9 and core lightning back up after a crash migrating to version 4 and I’m wondering how to re establish my Core Lightning PaulsCode channel?
I’ve stopped managing a small channels lightning node. It was never stable, and setting the routing fee on my node high enough to make it even affordable broke routing for anyone connecting from Core Lightning, since Core Lightning doesn’t expose the max routing fee parameter.
I suggest instead peering with some of the nodes that accept small channels that I listed here: https://paulscode.com/t/lightning-peers-that-accept-small-150k-sat-channels
So will the sats come back to me since the channel was closed?
When a channel is closed, any sats on your side of the channel go into the base layer wallet on your node, and any sats on the other side of the channel go into the base layer wallet on their node.
If you are seeing something different than that, then something has gone wrong. It would be helpful if you describe the state of your Core Lightning service just prior to the update, if you uninstalled it before updating or if you kept it installed during the update, any actions you did related to it after the update, and what is the current state now.
I should have continued with the thread from before…I’ll bring it up and continue there
