Raw error: cln err code: `205

Hi,

Im new to all this mining but over the last couple of week iv been getting regular lighting payments but the about 6 days ago they stopped coming through and i keep getting the Raw error: cln err code: `205
Iv reset all my services still not working i closed the chanel paulscode and started a other channel with pauls code and still no joy, any help would be much appreciated

What are the inbound / outbound liquidity amounts on the new channel?

this is my lighting node

is that what you mean by inbound / outbound the maximum send and receive on my lighting node paul ?

i also get this when trying to send invoice from my lighting wallet to wallet of satoshi Ran out of routes to try after 18 attempts: see paystatus

For sending, make sure XPay is enabled (Advanced > Experimental Features > Xpay). Core Lightning’s built-in routing is quite bad. You will also need to leave some outbound (you won’t be able to send all 11,991 sats) since you opened the channel (I don’t know the exact amount, off hand).

That said, looks like you have 3,000 sats inbound, so you should be able to receive sats. Is your payout from mining less than that amount?

thats my unpaid earning

im sorry if i sound daft but i dont know what xpay is or where to find it

No problem. In your Services list, click on Core Lightning. Then click on Config. Expand the Advanced section, and expand the Experimental Features section. You should see Xpay in there. Just enable it and then save. Your node should restart.

You should have enough inbound liquidity to receive your payout though.

now the channel has come inactive

Yes, I am restarting my node to see if that helps. Just a minute.

It should be back up now.

some time it sends and some times it dont

thanks for the help paul

Hi, it’s the same error as mine “Failed: Could not find route without excessive cost”. I’ve had it 2 weeks now :frowning:
I have umbrel node and don’t find the XPay under Core Lightning or RTL settings.

It stoped working for me when they was a update about 7 days ago with core lighting node did the update restarted all services and has failed ever since i even emailed ocean and they told me to open more channels but i dont understand when i 1st set it up it was working a treat after following pauls videos

XPay is only for sending (won’t help with the Ocean problem). I’m not sure about the excessive cost message. The odd thing is that my payouts also route through PaulsCode LND to my Core Lightning node, and I have not gotten the error. I also haven’t changed the fee rate on my node since July when I bumped it up to 1% (to help cover the base-layer fees for managing lots of small channels with nodes that each have no other channels to use for circular rebalancing).

Ocean’s advice to open another channel is probably correct if it doesn’t resolve itself. I can’t visualize in my head how they can find a route with acceptable fees through the same node in some cases but not others (I would think an excessive fee problem would affect all routes where PaulsCode LND is the second-to-last hop, not just some of them). The only thing I can think that could cause it is that some key nodes in the routes from Ocean to Paulscode LND have fixed minimum fees in addition to their fee rates, thus affecting smaller payout amounts. That doesn’t seem right either, though (why would anyone intentionally create bariers for micro payments on the lightning network?)

For now I moved my hash to braiins pool, where I can make payouts with lightning to my node. But the ocean thing is strange. I would like to mine with them the bolt12 stuff is not ok :frowning: I hope they add normal bolt11 transactions also someday, like if bolt12 fails, users can send it out with normal transaction.
