In this one, I demonstrate how to move your Bitcoin stack from an old hardware signer to a new COLDCARD Q without needing to use the old signer to create the transaction. This can be useful in a couple of scenarios. For example, your old signing device might break, and you want to upgrade to a COLDCARD Q rather than going with the same model. In this scenario, you might also want to move your stack to a new wallet generated by the COLDCARD Q. Another example might be if you suspect your old signing device is compromised, and you don’t want to risk using it to move your stack.
