I’m looking to move my sats via lighting to a hardware wallet and save them on-chain fees. Any ideas? Suggestion? Ledger Nano X, Trezor T , Blockstream Jade…etc. any experience with any of these and lightning?
Bitcoin locked up in the lightning network cannot currently be secured by hardware signer. It must be swapped out to the base layer (or possibly Liquid, but I think currently that is only supported on the Blockstream Jade). The reason lightning isn’t really compatible with typical hardware signing processes, is that there are multiple signed hand-shake steps and candidate paths involved in a transaction (unlike a blockchain where movements typically happen in a single signed transaction message).
