I tried to set up a KVM switch so I could switch between my PC and S9 server. I couldn’t find a way to get it to work. I think the S9 software disables external connections (HDMI and USB) other than the USB for backups. It could be my hardware or BIOS but from I could deduce those were not the problem.
Normally you wouldn’t interact with a server directly via keyboard, mouse, and monitor. I suspect they didn’t put a lot of development into that part of the interface.

I do have a switch that I can use to do a little testing (to rule out that it is just you seeing the issue). One thing that comes to mind, I was playing around with one of my MiniPCs (unrelated to Start9) where I needed to wipe it and start over a number of times as I was going, and I found in that case if the MiniPC was booted up while the switch was on the other side, it would not show up when I switched to it. I was able to resolve that by making sure to have the switch on the MiniPC side, wait for it to fully boot up, and then I could switch back and forth between the two. May not apply here, but worth a shot.
