HashGG does not start: Tunnel keeps "connecting" on START9

Tunnel shows “connecting” The tunnel agent is starting up. Wait 10–30 seconds. If it persists, check that your server (and VPS, if applicable) has internet access: but..

The Start9 server is running with all the services incl Datum. Yet HashGG tunnel status: keeps “connecting”. I am an absolute non digid a tech and don’t know what tot do.

Try to set up a home mining with Datum Ocean and rented hash from Braiins but after days of struggling also AI with give hundreds of wrong suggestions hope this wil help.

Status now: Knots; Datum; Electrs; LND; Agent Wallet; Mempool al is green running. Have been mixed up with the different instruction videos from Matt K., Forrest H. Paul L; Satashi…

What’s next

Well Matt just told the world that Braiins is comprimised. The don’t like BaiP110 :white_check_mark: renters. Shame on them. Looking for a different ways now.

HashGG will still be useful for whatever alternative hashing source you pick. I’ll help you troubleshoot it. First question is did you connect HashGG via Playit.gg or via VPS?

It looks like it is the default Playit.gg see the picture

Great. Confirm that you have verified your email in Playit.gg (if not, it will have a large red banner when you log in saying your email isn’t verified). Then confirm you have Premium mode ($3 / mo), and that your payment period hasn’t expired (for example, if you bought 30 days with a pre-paid card, don’t forget to renew when the 30 days is over)

If everything is good with your Playit.gg account and Premium is active, then we will go with the nuclear option (which fixes 99% of issues). In Playit.gg, go to the Agents section and delete them all. When it asks if you also want to delete the Tunnel for that agent, do so. Then go to the Tunnels section and delete any remaining tunnels if there are any.

Then uninstall HashGG and reinstall it. For the StartOS “Needs Configuration” step, leave the default options and just save. Then launch HashGG, select the Playit.gg option, and follow the instructions again. Let me know if that resolves the issue.

good. we are running now

now we need to set up the renting hash and direct it with stratum to ocean ..
probably we have most already set up see picture of the dashboard Start9 OS 3,5,1:

Yes, it looks like you have all the services you need. The next thing is to set up Braiins (or NiceHash, etc) and start it mining to your stratum URL displayed in HashGG. Once that is up and mining, your Bitcoin address should show up in Ocean, and you can proceed with setting up your lightning payouts.

Datum not Stratum. A bit confussed here in all the settings. It looks good all running but there might be wrong settings is the services due to earlier attempts to set it all up?
But first things first.. Set up Braiins. My be good enough for now because of a lack of alternatives.

Today Playit.gg does not open: Expected API JSON response but received 403

Sorry guys (lady’s),
I don’t want to pollut this space with stupid questions. The point is I am a pleb of pleb with limited know how on computers. But I am dedicated to set up a configuration on my Start9 (ONE) OS 3.5.1. in order to be able to mining (rented) sats. At this time all services seems to run properly: KNOTS; ELECTRS; MEMPOOL; HASH.GG; PLAYIT.GG; LND; DATUM GATEWAY.
I know I have to struggle myself true it and I will. But for now any suggestions might be helpfull. Questions: Is it at this point better to wait a little untill the situation is more clear on renting hash besides Braiins? Are there good and actual simple step by step docu for to help me in this challenge? Any suggestions? Again sorry to poisen this space with my dull questions. All the best from a BIP110 pleb in de mountains of the Netherlands.

Hey Dennis,

Sorry to hear you’re having trouble. I can try to help you. Paul has also provided some videos on getting hash.gg and playit.gg working together. Have you watched this: https://youtu.be/8KpqEceQ3C0?t=2138

Thanks,
Yes I will go true it again and also his new release on the alternatives for Braiins. Every day a little step. I will come back when stucked.
