Goldshell not finding blocks

Hello everyone, coming over from Matthew Kratter’s Bitcoin University forum for a little help.

I resurrected a 2021/2022 Goldshell HS3SE to solo mine on Blake2b. Upgraded firmware to the latest (2.2.4). Hashing for 2 days (1.9TH/s) yet no blocks found. Per some rough calcs I should have hit a block so I’m guessing something is wrong.

Details: Start9, knots:29.4.1:4 enabled clearnet, Datum pow:0.4.1:17

Datum Dashboard:

I followed Connors Lab videos and used his recommended settings for solo mining on Knots and Datum, all other settings are the defaults. The only thing I didn’t do from Connors videos, is manually connect peers. This leads me to guess the quality of my peers could be the problem.

Another thing worth noting is I tried all the different stratum options on b.pyblocks.xyz and all of them cause my miner to reboot constantly, according to Grok this is likely due to Goldshell firmware rejecting “non approved” stratum servers.

Please help… thank you!

if you put the ip address of your goldshell in your browser, what does it show your hashrate @ for the 2 days?

The estimated hashrate indicates that it is being measured. Take a look at the Home page for your ASIC to make sure the Accepted count is large and increasing. Also don’t forget to check the mundane things, like the bitcoin address that you have configured in Datum Gateway, and that it is configured properly for solo mining.
