Datum gateway fall back pool issue

My bitaxe miners are using fallback pool but they are pointing to my datum server on start9, woul there be a problem or reason that I’m not aware of causing this issue
Thanks

The most likely reason would be that they are unable to reach Datum Gateway. Have they connected properly before and have stopped connecting, or have they never connected successfully?

Could be they’ve got the wrong port set? Should be 2334 I think.

Port 23334. You almost had it @FouBaar :+1:

Point your miners to the IP and PORT of your Start9 Server and Datum-Gateway service respectively. (Something like 192.168.x.y replacing x and y as necessary for the Start9 Server IP. 23334 is the default port for Datum-Gateway.)

Everything has been working fine for a while now, just saw this issue yesterday,
The port had changed, so I changed it back to 23334 , and the ip is correct but not taking effect on the miners,

The first thing I would try is to first power off your ASICs, then shut down all of your services. Optionally, take the opportunity to make a backup if you are due for one. Then restart your server via System > Power > Restart. Once the server is up and running again, start the services again (starting with Knots, then Datum Gateway), waiting for the health checks to complete before starting the next one. Once Knots and Datum Gateway are up and running, start the ASICs again. Give them a couple of minutes, and check in the Datum Gateway UI to see if they connect.

Just wanted to chime in on an occurrence of the same symptoms that I narrowed down to a specific cause. I’ve been making quite a few network changes while I decided on a final setup for my pfSense based router. At some point, I discovered I needed to change my simpleproxy configuration for the Datum Gateway to specify the IP address rather than obtaining it through simpleproxy. More recently, I made another change and edited the configuration again. However, no matter what I did the Datum Gateway was unreachable by my miners. Upon further investigation, it turned out I had two configuration files in play, one under the /lib/ directory and another under /etc/. I was altering the one under lib. However, the one in etc overrides. So, all that just to say, make sure if you need to use custom settings, make sure you edit the correct/all locations’ files. Hope that all made at least some sense.
