I published another Bitcoin-related tutorial.
In this video, I highlight an overlooked risk in Bitcoin’s ongoing Spam War: the Libre Relay network. While many focus on Bitcoin Knots vs. Bitcoin Core v30, I explain how Libre Relay’s preferential peering completely bypasses mempool policy norms, feeding spam directly to miners. I then introduce Garbageman - a modified Bitcoin node by Chris Guida (based on Bitcoin Knots) - that preferentially peers with Libre Relay nodes but refuses to relay spam, adding friction and rate-limiting to protect the chain. Finally, I demo my Garbageman VM Manager script, which lets you spin up as many Garbageman nodes as your hardware can support, and I walk through a clean VirtualBox sandbox setup, download, and full usage tutorial.
