Just watched a BTC Sessions video on BIP 85 sounds like a interesting feature but my question is how would I use this feature what are its use cases? And why is it superior to just using a passphrase over the main seed?
There are a couple of use cases that I think it could be useful for (there are probably more that I haven’t thought of)

Getting family members into Bitcoin. It allows you to be a fallback in case they lose their seed phrase, without needing to manage multiple seed phrases backups yourself, while at the same time one member not risking everyone else’s stack if they make a mistake and leak their own child seed phrase.

A way to back up your own seed phrase with new unique obfuscation methods. For example, you could stamp one seed phrase into steel, put a small decoy balance on that wallet. Then use use it to derive the seventh child seed phrase and use that one as a parent, where your actual BTC stack on its third child seed phrase. As long as you can remember the numbers 7 and 3 (in this example), if your stamped seed phrase gets stolen you should have plenty of time to move your stack before the thief figures out that he needs to go two (or however many) levels deep into BIP 85 trees to find your actual stack.
